  1. What is the principle of flame retardant rubber sheet?

First, choose rubber that is inherently flame-retardant, such as chloroprene, fluorine rubber, etc. For rubber that is not flame-retardant, add flame retardants to isolate it from contact with oxygen during combustion and reduce the burning temperature of the rubber sheet.

Rubber with an oxygen index greater than 27 is flame-retardant rubber, and rubber with an oxygen index less than 27 is flammable rubber.

  1. Why is the elongation of fluororubber sheets low?

Because the rigidity is high and the elasticity is low, the elongation is low.

  1. What is the difference between foam and sponge rubber?

Foam is made of plastic-based materials, such as PVC (polyvinyl chloride) foam, polystyrene foam. Mostly used for packaging items. Sponge rubber is made of natural rubber or synthetic rubber as the main material. Used for gasket shims. Buffering, sound insulation, heat insulation, printing and dyeing and other occasions.

  1. 4. What is the reason why the surface of NR board becomes sticky after vulcanization, and how to solve and remove it?

① The vulcanization temperature exceeds the critical point of NR temperature resistance, causing the product to be over-sulfurized.

②The vulcanization depth of the product is not enough and it lacks sulfur. Both of these phenomena will cause the surface of the product to become sticky.

The solution is to adjust the distribution vulcanization system or lower the vulcanization temperature. If stickiness occurs, wipe gently with a sponge dipped in talcum powder.

  1. 5. What kind of rubber is needed to bond rubber products to metal, or what specifications do rubber sheet products bonded to metal need to meet?

There are two types of this product. The first type is to add metal directly to the product during vulcanization, and the second type is to stick the vulcanized finished product to the metal. The metal of the first type of product needs to be sandblasted and rust removed, and there should be no oil on the surface. It is painted with Lekna, dried, and then molded with the rolled rubber and vulcanized directly. Silicone and fluorine rubber are currently difficult to use, but others are no problem.

The second type of product is vulcanized into finished products and then bonded to the metal plate. We would like to remind users to make the bonding surface into a cloth pattern and roughen it when bonding. If you see new stubble, use different adhesives for different types of glue. All can be bonded.
